TOWN OF BECKET Highway Department Equipment Operator The Town of Becket Highway Department is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position (40 hrs wk.
) of Equipment Operator.
Position:
works under the supervision of the Hwy Superintendent, operates heavy equipment (motor grader, front end loader, loader/ backhoe, excavator, roller and tractor) used in the construction and maintenance of public ways and town facilities and operates heavy equipment in removal of ice and snow.
May be required to perform hand labor when not operating equip.
Overtime required due to weather and emergency situations.
Minimum
Qualifications:
high school diploma or equivalent with knowledge and experience in the operation of heavy trucks and heavy equipment and construction work, 3 to 5 yrs experience in construction trades, Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement and Class 2A hydraulic license.
